Re: Junior Development Academies

Maybe you should speak with some of the parents that he has burnt along the way as well kids that have left the game because of it.
With all due respect, why would I do that? Diego was the only one that saw something a bit extra in my boy and developed it. He provided us with an opportunity ...

STIC, Skillaroos & NTC aren't the only place talented players can be found. I know of 4 kids that have trialled and moved overseas in the last 2 years and they didn't progress through the FFSA programs. Parents and young players should do some research into possible alternate pathways before tru...

Seriously? Why are we congratulating one player? The lads arnt playing tennis mate, it's a team sport. Why not congratulate the lad that passed the ball perfectly? Why not good luck to the lad that scored the first goal for SA? Seriously what a stupid comment to type especially when the coaches hav...

The strength of our JSL teams provides player movement opportunities between age group teams which we recognise and encourage. Nothing like coming up against a Cumby JSL team s...

I have nothing but praise for our Nothern coach. All the boys were given equal opportunity and instructed before the game on what he would like to see. No coaching during the game just letting the boys execute what he wanted. Kudos to all that volunteer for the good of the players and the game. For ...

Took my lad down to see this game. Brilliant stuff. Movement off the ball, control, possesion retention all great to watch.

It was also good for him to see how his coaches play.

Shouldn't this be standard practice???
Playing out from the back and keeping possession, anything else is just giving the opposition a 50/50 chance of the ball.

U/12 Raiders JPL (8) v Adel. City JSL (0)
City team only have 2 weeks training under their belt so a little rusty.

Atractive play from Raiders at times. Nice to watch the ball being played around.

Parents need to talk to the coach and if that coach is honest they should give you an answer. Yes your child is in my thoughts as a 1st team player, however holding that spot is up to him/her. Especially with some of the larger big pitches around the place 11v11 on a 3 quarter sized pitch would be my preference for 12's and maybe even the 13's.
My lad's a slow grower so I can see him lost on the big pitch next year.
