Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Abra1's suggestion sounds fairer, phase it in from 12's next year and allow current divisional structures to continue. It hardly seems fair that Enfield 14A (9 wins 1 draw 4 losses - currently 4th ) should be relegated to a lower division. The club has put a lot of effort into this team and they des...

Re: Best Junior Coach
Thanks for your reply Cyril - you were exactly right - Osgood Schlatters. Luckily the coaches are sympathetic and he can miss the odd training if he's too sore. Was amazed at how common it is. Got through the match ok on Sunday but he will have to give up on his other activities for a while if he is...

Re: Skillaroo u/14
Sorry got that wrong - a quick look at the Wikipedia shows it was 1991 and we came 3rd - losing to the hosts Portugal in the semi. Included in that youth side was Mark Bosnich (Zeljko Kalac reserve keeper), Paul Okon,Mark Babic, Kevin Muscat, Tony Popovic and Steve Corica to name a few. A quick look...

Re: Skillaroo u/14
Was interested in the comment re development of players and seeing the results in 5 - 10 years time. While I readily concede junior development is light years ahead of when I was a junior in the 1970s it was not all bad. The performance of the various national teams in the 90s may take some beating ...
