Re: SAASL and Collegiate
I find myself agreeing with GIAE ... Saturday is proper football day and Sunday is for the pub teams / spuds ;) How about Saturday is Collegiate Day and Sunday is SAASL day. To answer the original question.. I don't think any / many Collegiate teams would move back to the SAASL as there is even less...

Re: SAASL Affiliation to the FFA/FFSA
Are you saying that the FFSA have no all in brawls. Uni SA had one last year, and that's just the one I know about. I have sat in on an FFSA disciplinaries for both SAASL and FFSA. SAASL was better, a lot better.[/quote] As opposed to the one every 2nd week in the SAASL? typical one eyed view of the...

Re: SAASL Affiliation to the FFA/FFSA
The disciplinary system with ffsa is a joke and even so not being used by saasl. The refs situation will not change. That's 2 of the 3 reasons you have stated null and void. I haven't seen either of the insurance policies so don't know. Is that insurance even being used? Then the SAASL have signed ...

Re: SAASL Affiliation to the FFA/FFSA
Having run a club (in the loosest sense!) in both the SAASL and the Collegiate, the increase in cost was / is minor and the support and running of the league is many times better.. You don't have to agree with that but its a fact in our world! The disciplinary system is many times better, the refere...

Re: SAASL Affiliation to the FFA/FFSA
Why would the relationship between SAASL and FFSA be any different / worse than the Collegiate deal? $62.50 fee per player $150 affiliation fee per team entered. $90 per game for a ref That is a bit more than the current SAASL cost of playing but the insurance is better, you don't have a club ref do...

Re: SAASL Affiliation to the FFA/FFSA
IF it goes the same way as the Collegiate comp, there would be minimal changes to the SAASL structure and management.... You would have access to FFSA refs for ALL grades at $90 per game and would have to register on MFC as a central rego system... Current Collegiate / FFSA rules allow players to pl...

Re: One Tree Hill Vs Northern Wolves... All in brawl
The CSL fight mentioned previous has resulted in the instigator getting a 9 match ban ... The player was banned for 2 games awaiting the verdict and the tribunal increased it to 9 games! Thats how you deal with nobbers who want to punch on during a game.... On a related note, the story about this in...

Couldn't agree more... it has to affect the 'desirability' of playing in the league to some when these stories come out on an almost regular basis and don't get sorted... Stuff happens and idiots will always be idiots in any league or sport BUT the way a problem is handled is much more important in ...

Kick them out....whiffs fingers and all.... Then they can start Ghan 3.0 with the same core group of players who will then go on to play in multiple comps, fight, stick fingers up arses et al and we can then go around one more time in getting banned ready for Ghan 4.0 ..... Is the collegiate league run better? Deal with issues? Etc If it's run by the FFSA, then no. Collegiate ISNT run by the FFSA... its affiliated to the FFSA. Same happened in the Collegiate..... were even dumb enough to have a picture of the FFSA player on their FB site celebrating his goals!!!
Cheating AND dumb to boot....
One day, the lure of money will be weaker than all the comps just kicking them out for good....
