Re: Jpl draft schedule

I heard that not a single member of last year's squad was at trials... Six are playing u18s. Two playing u15s again. At least they can't blame last year's coach  The u16 were beaten soundly in a friendly against Adelaide Hills, so probably made the decision an easy one. That's pretty disappoi...

There wasn't any U14 JSL games yesterday
Two in the cup were All-JSL... Adelaide Uni vs SA Central, and my Modbury Vista team played one of Cumberland's JSL teams.

Re: Cup round.....

I reckon that's a pretty good indication that JSL teams are not really holding their own against JPL teams and that perhaps the FFSA should look at the first round being JSL and JPL C teams. Really? A fair proportion of the blow-out (10+) scorelines are JSL-JSL or JPL-JPL games... In Under 12, only...

Let's hear the excuses for this one. I completely agree with you about the argument regarding doctored pitches... BUT... 1. This curator's first Shield pitch at Glenelg, characteristics completely consistent with other cricket pitches he has produced for Second XI and Premier League games at Park 2...

Intimidating the referee at our game (east Adelaide) last Saturday... We were told by the referee that they were on their last warning... Pitbulls told us on Saturday that there catchup game wasn't to be played as they were withdrawn!

Never quite cottoned on to the shield points scoring system - today's paper has NSW third, 4 outrights wins, 3 first innings wins, 2 outright losses and one first innings loss - 29 points. Yet, Queensland (finishes second) has 4 outright wins, only one first innings win, and 5 outright losses - 30 ...
