How bad was Jedinak!
His passing completion rate under pressure can't have been higher than 10%.

Switzerland's winning goal in the dying seconds of the match: Behrami (after having played absolute bollocks for the whole 90 minutes) blocking a shot in his own 18 yard box, carrying the ball to the middle of the park where he gets mauled - getting up while still in motion to play the pass up the p...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014

I'm glad they've postponed it. IMO all players (juniors especially) benefit from playing against players of equal or slightly better ability, that's why we have a PL and SL, you derive very little benefit or pleasure from losing 10-0 or winning 10-0. So why would we force juniors to do anything dif...

so in theory to play pretty play from the back, but to win a big game forget that, send it long, and do whatever you must to win, and we wonder why it is so hard to progress our game. Every club has been doing this to get promotion into the top leagues, and we had a chance to end this, however the ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014

If we want to build a serious professional state league (and Premier League), clubs must remember that - without juniors there is no seniors, without seniors there is no juniors - Too often each side forgets about the other. Now that's what we're talking about !! I don't recall anybody questioning ...

Football, if played at a high level, needs a considerable amount of dedication. In most places in the world it is played all year round, with a break of about 3 months. For many kids I know, the end of the season is a sad moment, they'd rather play on and on and on - they certainly have an impatien...

I thought this was a very entertaining, thrilling match to watch. Clearly, Australia conceded before the kick-off that they wouldn't be able to match Japan on the skill level - and rightly so. Japan are great to watch they only need to become a bit more clinical in front of goal. I haven't seen the ...
