Re: The road to Moscow

Of course I know it's not as simple as subbing another player in. But clearly he under-estimated the Thais thinking that a totally un-match-fit Kruse was up to 90mins. The talent pool isn't huge but IMO it's bigger than Ange is willing to go with at this stage. The Thai squad was entirely made up o...

Re: The road to Moscow

Bangkok: Ange Postecoglou issued an ominous warning for several members of the Socceroos team that failed to beat Thailand, telling them to use the four-month break between international games to sort out their club futures if they're to remain in the squad. http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/ange-...

Re: The road to Moscow

I rate Mooy and he has been good for Australia and doing well in England However he was truly shocking last night, only got 90 minutes as we had 5 or 6 shocking performances last night - even so I would have dragged him before Leckie yeah he looked lethargic, his passing was terrible and got worse ...

Re: Lodge wins a b and c titles

What a way to win it... A's were already champions, but can you blame the grove players for not wanting to play a nothing game for them seeing as they celebrated the end of their season on Sunday? Silly situation First year in Div 1 and Brahma won A's B's and C's. I'm sure no one at the club is dis...

Yeah 2 players shove each other so the weaker one should win a free? Cmon swanny Look at the video...UAE player runs toward Tim and Tim just shoves him away and off balance.... Unfortunately pushing, shoving, grabbing etc. have crept more and more into the modern game...it's almost like AFL these d...

There's no bubble just a lot of hard work by everyone and a bit of luck at times. It's a long season and plenty of quality teams to come up against.

Re: Where is SAASL heading..

Robbo who set the bar previously? You don't know what Brahma pay their players so it's a bit unfair to make assumptions, just like none have done in regards to your club. Fact is whoever pays is only doing so to get a player that would otherwise have gone to another club for another dollar value. Th...

Yeah i cant recall any others since 05 either. Also from memory when we did get the OFC WC qualifier games in 2004, it was the first time we'd had an Australia game in Adelaide in about 6 years. ... and played them at Marden before 1500 spectators. at some ridiculous time of 4pm on a Wednesd...

Re: 10 years since Socceroos qualified for 2006 World Cup

Yeah Fiji 2004 at Marden, OFC nations cup was that what it was, was a great excuse to piss off from work. Also played NZ at Hindmarsh and I think Tahiti? All part of the same tournament. We got slammed for not filling the stadiums, and SA has had 1 nothing game since. Canberra is considered more wor...

Re: The road to Moscow

Must say I was impressed with the referee (apart from the pen claim that went against them late first half) - a lot of falling over, attempts to get soft free kicks were quickly waved away and he let the game flow. To me, 7-1 seemed about a right result but will take 3-0 any day of the week. I thou...

Something smells rotten about this decision, why of all grounds was that one chosen, was it some handshake agreement on their decision to join the SAASL? Not that any other club is more entitled than another, but this one just seems strange
