Re: Qantas Joeys defeat Hong Kong
I see South Australian Ben Warland captaining the Joeys and scoring goals. I Thought he was a central defender. Is he at AIS?

[ :? Why do kids have to go interstate to be picked up by sasi :?: you've given me nothing other than proof u work for ffsa  SASI should be picking kids up from within SA  from there they should be the state team going interstate for a tournament with the chance if ais picking up play...

Re: SBS The World Game: SA youth
Hopefully the days of picking the 6 foot tall at age 13 players, and the win at all costs mentality has gone.
I,d hate to be six foot tall at 13 and talented,I might be stereo typed as technically inept and not worthy of being further developed.

Re: Good luck to both U14 & U15 State Teams
The 15's state team played excellent football during the tornament, they got robbed against victoria and NSW and clearly controled them 2 matches, the only game they struggled against was WA and they had 3 AIS players. 5 S.A. players made the all star team, it doesnt matter about the results it mat...

Re: Good luck to both U14 & U15 State Teams
Tony Vidmar was coach of the 15s. One of the parents told me he was in the selector's box on a regular basis between games. So 5 of his players get selected. Same thing apparently happened with his institute team at the start of the year. SASI finished 2nd but received extra bonus points to move th...

Drago, Drago, just because he poaches all the talented kids and puts them into one side,we can all do that. Try to develope a team sometimes that you are dealt. Its because of people like you that junior development in Australia is in such a poor state. The gentleman that you are accusing of poachi...

Surely it cant be hard to work out a system whereby players that played more second team than first team after a certain point of the season are eligible.I know a similar rule applies in aussie rules for finals.

Re: Campbelltown - its cut throat at the top
From what I hear there have been a few departures. Mauriello, Dama both playing up. ,Ditroia gone elsewhere. Not sure about Warland.I think this will bring them back to the field ,which will be good for that team. Still a good team however, and we will see how good some of them really are.

Anyone know much about this supposed Adelaide United Junior Acadamy ? R they in a position to even think about this sort of thing? Is it the right thing for our developing juniors ?
